What information do we collect?

• We collect information from you when you register on the site, enter a contest or promotion, place an order, respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail, or participate in another site feature.
• When registering or ordering, we may ask you for your name, gender, date of birth, e-mail address, home address, zip/postal code, daytime and/or mobile phone number, preferred language, credit card information (when ordering products only) as well as to create a user name and password. You will also be asked to opt-in to our e-mailing list. You may, however, visit our site anonymously or purchase without registering. You will then be asked only for information necessary to process the transaction. Information provided by anonymous shoppers will be retained only as necessary to process the transaction and maintain Blond & Braun sales records and will not be used for marketing purposes.

Visitors who register or participate in other site features such as marketing programs will be given a choice whether they would like to be on our e-mail list and receive e- mail communications from us and if these visitors would no longer be interested in receiving this information, they can follow the instructions in any email or refer to the section on the opt-out, removal or modification of information provided.

How do we protect visitor information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. When you place orders or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive/credit information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our databases to be only accessed as stated above.

Do we use "cookies"?

Yes. Cookies are pieces of information that a site sends to your computer while you are viewing the site. Cookies work in combination with content within the site itself to capture and remember information. For instance, cookies are used to remember and process the items in your shopping cart. They are also used to track your activity and understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity. This enables us to provide you with services or to improve your site experience. Do we disclose the information we collect to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties, not including Blond & Braun wholly-owned companies, your personally identifiable information unless we provide you with advance notice. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information in aggregate form may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

How can you opt-out, remove or modify information you have provided to us?

To modify your e-mail subscriptions or completely opt-out of receiving Blond & Braun e-mail please let us know by modifying your preferences in the "View or Change my Profile" section. Please note that due to email production schedules you may still receive any mailings that are already in production. To delete all of your Blond & Braun online account information from our database, sign into the "View or Change my Profile" section of our site and click "Delete my Profile". Note that if you request your account information to be deleted from our database, we may maintain information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record keeping. This information does not contain credit card details.

In an attempt to provide you with increased value, we may include third party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any Feedback about these linked sites (including if a specific link does not work).

Childrens Privacy

A special note to parents

We realize that also children will visit our site, and we therefore encourage children to consult with their parents before submitting any information to any website, including ours. We encourage parents to supervise their childrens online activities and consider using parental control tools available from online services and software manufacturers that help provide a kid-friendly online environment. These tools can also prevent children from disclosing their name, address, and other personal information online without parental permission. Blond & Braun expresses special care in relation to the privacy of children and has adopted the following special procedures and additional safeguards applicable to personal information collected from children. This Childrens Privacy Policy supplements our general Privacy Policy. Any conflicting portions of our general Privacy Policy are superseded by this Policy.

Additional safeguards for Childrens privacy

• When a childs submission of information indicates that he/she is under the age of 13, our system will reject the submission.
• It is our policy not to make a childs participation in any site activity contingent on that childs disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in that activity.
• When a child who is not registered attempts to enter a promotion or use certain other features of the site for which he or she is eligible and for which personal information is required, we will seek information about the childs age and some of the information required to order products or register.
• If a child requests that we use his or her online contact information to respond more than once to a specific request, we will not use this information for any other purpose without verifiable consent. Parents have the right to refuse to allow us to further contact their child and to require us to delete the information that we have already collected. To do so, they must give us their Feedback.
• If we collect the name, e-mail address, and other online contact information from a child in order to protect the safety of that child when participating in activities on the site, we will not re-contact that child or disclose that childs information on our site for any other purpose without verifiable consent. How can parents review their childs personal information and prevent its use or disclosure?

When personal information about their child is stored and used by Blond & Braun, a parent or guardian may submit a signed written request to review or modify the information about their child, a request that we stop any additional use of the information, or a request that we delete the information. Before disclosing information about a child, we may request that the parent provide reasonable information about the child for identification purposes, such as the childs name, address, phone number, parents credit card number, or other information.

Safer Data Transfer

Your personal data is securely transferred by us with the help of coding. This naturally also applies to your orders, as well as to the customer login. Here we make use of the coding system SSL (Secure Socket Layer).

With the help of both technical and organizational measures, moreover, we secure our websites and other systems against loss, destruction, access, alteration and distribution of your data by unauthorized persons.
